Today we are pleased to announce the combination of two professional sales organizations, Western Automation, Inc. (WAI) and Industrial Drives Design (IDD).

The team members of IDD bring 60+ years of technical sales experience to the established efforts of WAI founded in 1958.  Our newly combined team of professionals will continue to provide exceptional technical support across the Southwest.

Through technical application and engineering knowledge WAI offers local support through every stage of design, implementation, purchasing, installation, commissioning and programming   Our engineers share broad application knowledge and experience unique to a variety of markets.  These include food and beverage, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor, water/wastewater, packaging, automotive, machine tool and general industry.

WAI is the leading industrial representative in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.  The current group of principals acquired the company in August 2012.

IDD was founded in 1984 by Pierce Verleur and Jolanda Harvill.  In 2016 IDD merged with Eric Hodges of Access Automation which was founded in 2002.  All three individuals will join WAI going forward and bring additional unique skillsets to our team.

We are excited to launch our expanded organization immediately.  Our commitment to professional excellence is at the core of our philosophy and will be integral in our continued strategy for the future.
